Planning and Zoning

The Planning and Zoning Commission, currently a five-member commission made up of members from the public appointed by the City Council, works closely with City staff and selected consultants on economic and community development opportunities within the community. As the community embarks on Osawatomie Comprehensive Plan 2040, the Planning and Zoning (or P&Z) members will expand to nine members in January 2024 and lead many key phases of the planning and project development. The Commission's expected calendar is available below, and excerpts from the Commission's meeting minutes related to the Comprehensive Plan will be made available here as the monthly minutes are approved at regular meetings of the Commission.
