Water Work Impacting West Osawatomie

City of Osawatomie Utility officials have announced unplanned water work that will impact western Osawatomie on Thursday, September 4th, 2025 beginning at approximately 3:15pm.
A leak on a 10" water line in the 1600 block of Parker Avenue was identified Thursday morning and crews are onsite preparing for repairs this afternoon. Currently, officials are planning for repairs to begin following the conclusion of the school day and anticipate the work to last approximately four hours. Due to the nature of the repair, all City of Osawatomie water services west of 12th Street may experience lower than normal water pressure or no water at all until work is completed. Delaying repairs to the afternoon ensures that food service for Osawatomie USD #367 is uninterrupted, and students and staff will not be impacted by a potential lack of water.
