Manhattan, Kansas - Representatives from the City of Osawatomie City Council and members of staff traveled to Manhattan, Kansas on Thursday, October 6th, 2022, to join Kansas Governor Laura Kelly as she announced the 32 awardees for the Transportation Alternatives (TA) grant program for fiscal year 2023/2024.

The City of Osawatomie was honored to be awarded $1.5 million from the Transportation Alternatives program.

This competitive grant program, administered by the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT), provides funding for a variety of projects, including pedestrian and bicycle facilities, infrastructure for non-driver access to public transportation, and overall safety and mobility improvements.
