Solicitor Permit Reminder

Thank you to Justin, Mac, John, and Paris from Next Gen Restoration for stopping by City Hall and obtaining your solicitor permits! We appreciate the opportunity to introduce you to our community.

These gentlemen are headed door-to-door asking homeowners about their roofing needs today and tomorrow (4/17 - 4/18).

Gerry, Clayton, Trevor, Matthew and Jason are headed door-to-door asking homeowners about their roof, gutters, and/or siding needs.

There are currently no active solicitor permits in town! If someone rings your doorbell or knocks on your door, please direct them to City Hall so we can work with them on obtaining the proper permit(s). Alternatively, you may also call Osawatomie Police Department's non-emergency line (913-755-2101) if City Hall is closed.

As always, any time a permit is approved and issued we will publish photographs of the individual(s) and alert the community to their presence.

Solicitor permits are not an endorsement of any kind but rather a public safety tool to protect against crimes, frauds and misrepresentation committed by persons posing as solicitors, guard against the continuing danger of fraud, robbery and other crimes to the residents of the city and regulate undue annoyances caused by solicitors. As a reminder, it's good practice to ask any solicitor to provide their city contractors license and solicitor permits before conducting any business. And always remember to NEVER pay in advance for any services -- reputable contractors will not ask for prepayment!
