Public Service Positions Available

The City of Osawatomie is seeking interested applicants for openings on two different City Boards/Commissions.

The Osawatomie Public Library is currently accepting applications for three (3) available positions on the Board of Trustees. Trustees meet monthly to discuss Library business and help direct the Library's future goals and strategic plans. The Board is also responsible for policymaking and supporting the staff and patrons of Osawatomie Public Library. Applicants must reside within Osawatomie city limits to be considered eligible.

The City of Osawatomie Planning and Zoning Commission is currently accepting applications for one (1) available extraterritorial position. P&Z Commissioners meet monthly, or quarterly as needed, to review City Code and regulations or policies related to building, development, planning, and zoning. The Planning and Zoning Commission focuses on community development projects and are active participants in the City's comprehensive and strategic plans. The Commission also acts as the Board of Zoning Appeals.
