Downed Electrical Line Impacts Highway

On Thursday, September 11th, 2025, an electrical line across US 169 HWY was hit. City of Osawatomie electric crews have been dispatched for the repair. To allow crews safe access, the highway will be shut down from Osawatomie's Main Street exit south to the Plum Creek Road exit for both directions (northbound and southbound lanes). Officials plan to close the highway by 10:50pm and the repair is expected to take approximately one hour to complete.
