The City of Osawatomie is continuously monitoring and responding to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Changes in operation or other related announcements will be listed here. Please call City Hall if you have any questions.

(Updated) May 20, 2020 : Governor Kelly’s “Ad Astra” Reopening Plan –
– The City of Osawatomie will follow the phases laid out in this plan, including any amendments and adjustments made after the original publication. All businesses, activities, and recreation venues located in Osawatomie are expected to follow these guidelines.

July 15, 2020 : The City of Osawatomie passed an Ordinance (Ordinance No. 3783) that required the use of masks or other approved face coverings in public spaces in the City.

November 20, 2020 : News Release from the City Manager’s Office Regarding COVID-19
– The City of Osawatomie is reverting back to our springtime decision to temporarily close certain City offices and facilities in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our staff and community

February 1, 2021 : The City of Osawatomie and its facilities opened to the public, but still required masks for all public spaces as defined by Ordinance No. 3783.

May 13, 2021 : COVID-19 Mask Mandate: Repealed
– The City of Osawatomie passed an Ordinance (Ordinance No. 3795) that repealed the previously passed Ordinance No. 3783; masks or other face coverings will no longer be required in public spaces in the City. This action goes into effect on Wednesday, May 19th, 2021, after publication in the Miami County Republic per City policies.
