Water Leak Reported, Under Repair

Update | January 23, 2024 - 6:05pm : All water services should be returned to normal at this time. The leak has been repaired and utility crews have removed any line blocks or valve closures that were necessary to complete the repair work. If you are still experiencing markedly lower-than-normal water pressure or have no water at all, please report your service issue to our text-based alert line. Update | January 23, 2024 - 5:01pm : The impacted service area has expanded to include water customers between Main Street and Carr Avenue from 12th Street to 1st Street. Additional updates will be reflected within this notice as necessary.

Original Post | January 23, 2024 - 2:57pm : A water leak on a 10" water line has been reported and is currently undergoing evaluation and repair by City of Osawatomie utility crews. While team members perform the necessary repair, residents and businesses in the impacted service zone may experience lower than normal water pressure or no water at all during the repair. Crews anticipate the repair to take several hours based on the size and location of the leak.

Residents and/or businesses north of Main Street between 9th Street and 1st Street are anticipated to be impacted at this time. Impacted areas may change as work continues on the identified leak. All updates on anticipated service impacts will be published on our website and social media.
