Preparing for Battle: Mosquito Edition

Attention, Attention!

The weather is warming up and the rain is coming down -- you know what that means... Mosquito season is almost here and our Public Works crews are developing this year's Mosquito Combat Plan. The combat plan includes fogging (which targets adult mosquitos) and treating any standing water on City-owned properties to prevent mosquito larvae from developing.

We also encourage residents to their part by dumping containers with standing water, removing breeding grounds, and treating their own properties. Check out the infographic below for some tips on how to keep your yard mosquito-free!

As always, the City will work to notify residents ahead of any fogging, which happens on an as-needed basis throughout the season. Fogging notices are published on our website, on Facebook, and sent through our TextMyGov Resident Notification system. (Text OZGENERAL to 91896 to sign up!)
