Brown Avenue Water Service Interruption

Officials within the City of Osawatomie's Utility Department have given notice of impending critical water line work for Brown Avenue between 7th Street and 12th Street. As part of the full-depth reconstruction of Brown Avenue, utility lines have been relocated or updated as needed. Crews are now preparing to relocate the existing water main for the street and must temporarily shut off water service to the main and surrounding residences. Work is planned for September 8th, 2023, beginning at 7:00am and officials estimate that the relocation should be completed before the lunch hour.

Residents along Brown Avenue from 7th Street to 12th Street will not have water Friday morning until the relocation is completed and the main has been reconnected.
