The annual Miracle on Main Street holiday festival returns to downtown Osawatomie on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022. This year features some favorite traditions, like photos with Santa Claus and a performance by Paola School of Dance, and some newcomers, like the Red-Nosed Reindeer Run & Ride and Mrs. Claus' Story Hour.   • 8:00am - 11:00am | Holiday Happiness 5K | Mile Zero Trailhead | REGISTER HERE

    Naughty or nice, walker or runner, come gain some holiday cheer at the Holiday Happiness 5K from 8am-11am. Get the family and running ‘besties’ fired up for this three mile run/walk on the Flint Hills Trail.This event is a perfect addition to your holiday running calendar! Make it fun, dress up, and show us your ‘holiday happiness’! Registration will include a light up holiday beanie for you to wear all season long and a beautiful, unique glass finisher snowflake. Join us for hot chocolate and cookies afterward. Additionally, each person that brings canned goods or an unwrapped toy for families in need will receive a raffle ticket for a $100 Chamber Bucks Gift Certificate courtesy of the Osawatomie Chamber of Commerce. Packet pick-up will be on Friday 10am-5pm at the Osawatomie City Offices, 439 Main Street, Osawatomie, KS or race morning starting at 7:00am at the Flint Hills Trailhead. | Event presented by Midwest Endurance Race Co.

    FAMILY-FRIENDLY FUN RUN ALTERNATIVE - Not sure if your littlest elves are ready for a 5K? No problem! Bundle up in your Christmas PJs and head down to the trailhead at 9:00am for the unofficial Red-Nosed Run & Ride. Whether biking or walking (or a family of both!), go as far as their little legs can before heading back to Mile Zero for cookies, cocoa, and the annual Chamber of Commerce bike raffle at 11:00am. Hot cocoa and cookies will be waiting at the trailhead! Adults who bring canned goods or an unwrapped, new toy for families in need will be entered into the raffle for the $100 Chamber Bucks Gift Certificate. Kids who bring canned goods or a toy for donation will be entered into a raffle for a BRAND NEW BIKE! No registration required!
  • 12:00pm - 2:30pm | Kids Crafts | City Auditorium

    Bring the kids downtown for festive fun and Christmas creativity at the kids' craft station inside City Auditorium. A great way to spend time before or after your photos with Santa Claus! | Event presented by the Osawatomie Public Library
  • 1:00pm - 5:00pm | Vendor Fair | The Cornerstone

    The annual vendor fair will once again fill the halls of The Cornerstone in downtown Osawatomie from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Get your holiday shopping done all in one place! Booth space rentals are coordinated by our partner organization, Osawatomie PIE.   • 1:00pm and 2:00pm | Mrs. Claus' Story Hour | City Auditorium

    NEW THIS YEAR! While Saint Nick is downtown posing for the camera, Mrs. Claus will be keeping cozy indoors and reading Christmas stories for kids big and small. Join her inside City Auditorium at 1:00pm and again at 2:00pm for a festive story time. Light refreshments provided.
  • 1:00pm - 4:00pm | Pictures with Santa | Downtown

    Santa Claus is comin' to town! The City of Osawatomie and Osawatomie Chamber of Commerce have partnered with CC Photo & Design to offer free photos with Santa to those that pre-register. Space is limited! Visit our online sign-up to learn more and to claim a spot!
  • 3:15pm | Special Performance by Paola School of Dance | City Auditorium

    Miss Christine and her student teachers are bringing the festivities to downtown Osawatomie with the annual PSOD holiday performance! Get there early to snag a prime seat and settle in for a spectacular holiday showcase.
  • 4:15pm | LIVE Concert by the Band of Oz | Downtown

    The fun continues downtown as our favorite community band, the Band of Oz, performs a classic medley of holiday tunes. You'll think you're in a Hallmark movie!
  • 4:30pm | Gingerbread Breakaway Foot Race | Downtown

    The gang's together again this year as the Gingerbread Breakaway rockets down Main Street. Who will come out on top? Will anyone lose their gumdrops?
  • 5:00pm - 5:30pm | FLIP THE SWITCH! | Mayor's Christmas Tree

    Help Santa usher in the season with our annual lighting of the Mayor's Christmas Tree! Mayor Nick Hampson will be joined by Santa, City and Chamber staff, and other members of the community to reflect on a big year of positive growth for the community. Using a little bit of magic from Saint Nick, we'll flip the switch and make a wish as the tree and downtown are lit up for the holidays! Stick around after the tree lighting for a special reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas."
  • 6:00pm | Miracle at the Midway | Midway Drive-In Theater

    Our friends at the Drive-In at Midway are staying open for one final night this season... Miracle at Midway! Join us for an incredible night of festive favorites, including Frosty the Snowman and A Christmas Story! For more information on Midway's holiday specials, visit them online or call 913-755-2325.

It's going to be a busy day in downtown Osawatomie and throughout the community. Holiday cheer will be in full swing! In addition to these amazing events, City and Chamber staff will be raffling off more than $2,000 in prizes to lucky winners. It's free to enter! Simply visit a participating business before Saturday morning and complete the provided entry slip. We'll be streaming LIVE on Facebook for each drawing and notifying winners by phone immediately after.
