Chili Cook-Off 2023

The public is invited to attend the 2022 City of Osawatomie Chili Cook-Off benefitting Osawatomie High School student programs and clubs!
Like we did last year, each department within the City of Osawatomie's organization (Public Works, Police Department, Fire Department, Admin Offices, Building and Codes, etc.) will submit their best batch of chili alongside a $20 entry fee that will be donated to Osawatomie High School student interests.
A panel of judges will taste test each batch and judge them on COLOR, HEAT, TEXTURE, AROMA, and overall FLAVOR. The Judge's Choice winner will take home the traveling Chili Champion Trophy!
From 11:30am to 1:00pm the public is invited to partake in unlimited samples of all the submitted recipes and use cash to vote for the People's Choice Award. Simply drop a dollar (or $5!) in the jar for your favorite batch and whichever recipe bags the most bucks gets the People's Choice trophy. All money raised in the cash vote gets donated back to students!
Award announcements will begin at around 1:00pm
