The Public Works Department manages and plans the daily operations and long-term strategies of many different facets of the city, including Streets and Alleys, Parks and Cemeteries, Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance, Stormwater, and our Flood Protection System which includes Levees and Levee Certification.

Public Works crewmembers are also responsible for snow removal, assisting with road closures, and are an integral part of community event preparation and planning.
