The City Council meets to provide direction to the City Manager and City staff on the business of the City. These issues include financial issues, such as taxes, utility rates and budgets, as well as policy issues such as economic development, public safety, and property standards. The governing body meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month, with exceptions being made for federal holidays or lack or urgent business. Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend City Council meetings. A block is held aside for public comment at the beginning of the meeting. City Council meetings are held at Memorial Hall (411 11th St.) at 6:30pm unless otherwise noted on the meeting announcement.
