Work finished this week on the temporary shoring at 510 Main Street, which suffered a partial collapse of the back exterior wall earlier this month. Legacy Contractors performed the emergency safety and stabilization work alongside architect Barney Schwabauer. Both 500 and 510 Main Street were purchased by the City of Osawatomie in 2022 as part of ongoing downtown development planning and other project planning.

Osawatomie High School is hosting the 2022 Prom downtown this year, which means the amazing Osawatomie Prom Walk-In tradition will be setup along the Main Street corridor! Beginning around 4:30pm, Main Street will be blocked from 5th Street to 7th Street, including the 6th Street intersection. The walk-in
|

procession will line up at Osawatomie Middle School and travel along 5th before turning down Main Street to head toward The Cornerstone : By Clique's Events LLC! The public is invited to set up in and around the 6th and Main intersection for viewing the red carpet. For student safety, there will be no public parking available in the 500 or 600 blocks of Main Street until walk-in is over and the area is cleared.
