Worried About Water?

City Staff is constantly monitoring water levels in and around the community and are keeping close eyes on surrounding waterways. The stream gauge for Osawatomie, available through the National Weather Service, is one of the tools we use to determine when to put up the logs to close the levy.
We work in concert with Miami County Emergency Preparedness to help coordinate emergency services should there be a flood event. We'll update residents if there's ever a concerning change in water levels, so don't forget to subscribe to Everbridge Emergency Notifications!
