Winter Weather Reminders

As Old Man Winter settles in for the first time this season, the City of Osawatomie and our first responder partners wanted to give a few reminders about preparing for and dealing with weather-related emergencies.

Pet Licenses 2022

This notices serves as the annual reminder to purchase or renew your pet licenses!

Required in Osawatomie since 1975 for dogs, cats, and ferrets over 6mo of age, pet licenses also provide a myriad of things:

  • Rabies vaccination information for public health and safety
  • Expedites reunification of lost pets if they land in a shelter
  • Helps to monitor total number of pets in a household, which can alert officials to other health and safety issues, such as overcrowding or unlawful breeding or boarding situations

Licenses are $10 if the animal is not altered, $5 if altered, and completely FREE if the animal is both altered and microchipped.
