The Utility Billing Division is responsible for the billing and collection of water, sewer, electric, and trash services.  All four are billed on a single monthly statement, your City of Osawatomie Utility Bill.  Other responsibilities include water turn-on and offs, meter reading, bill collections, transfer of utilities, and refunds.  For general utility billing information or to apply for city utilities contact City Hall, 439 Main Street, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm at (913) 755-2148.

Before utility services can be connected a security deposit is required.  The deposit rates are:  $200 for residential, $75 for Senior Citizen housing, and commercial starts at $300.  You will also need to provide a photo id and a rental or lease agreement.  Anyone 18 or older on the rental or lease agreement will need to be on the utility bill.
